It's not that its stopped in water, and its not like it doesn't stop-its kind of posponed. I'm going to tell you right now you DO NOT want to pull a ME at Waterworld thinking I'd be okay with a light flow and in water most of the time. I had the most embaressing moment when I eent to the snack bar and whoosh.. The posponed period came and ran down my leg!
Ah, I don't know why I'm telling all of this, but its advice... Learn from my mistake and TRY to use a tampon. ANYTHING is better than nothing.
Home my humiliation helped =)

NO. Your period does not stop in water.
I don't know why people seem to think this.
I found this from a website:
"As for bathing, your period doesn’t actually stop flowing in water. “For most young women, there isn’t much flow to the outside when you’re in water,” says Dr. Hillard. However, even if you usually don’t bleed in water, don’t skip the tampon. It’s better to be safe than sorry."
Basically, you can risk it, but I wouldn't. Practice putting in a tampon. Practice makes perfect.
Good luck. ]
okay.
it stops but it will come back.
i was on the swim team and we barely had ten minutes to get our suits on and in the pool and we didnt have enough time to put the tampon in so a lot of girls went in without one.
it stops
but it will come back later on that day. ]
