well depending on his age of course but honestly i can tell you that a young guy will almost ALWAYS have a boner if you're doing stuff... haha they usually have one... but you can also tell if you feel him turned on and you feel him "hard" down there I can tell you its not just the jeans...

Most guys hide it really well for the exact purpose of not letting anyone know.
So if you're trying to figure it out, you probably won't be able to.
I guess if there's like an odd bulge that other guys don't have, then that's probably it.
