Question Posted Wednesday September 5 2007, 9:52 pm
Today was my third day of high school. I'm a freshman, and not liking it too much so far. I know it's early to be judging it so quickly, but I can't seem to meet new people. I'm intimidated by the upper classmen in some of my classes, and people in my grade are kind of..cold? My high school is a mixture of 2 larger middle schools and 2 smaller ones. I used to go to a smaller one, so there may only be one or two kids in my class from my middle school whereas there are a lot of kids from a larger middle school in one class where people know each other. I kind of miss the security of my middle school where I was comfortable, knew everyone, and had a lot of friends I could be myself around. Should I wait a little longer to see what people are like before I get too freaked by this whole situation? Thanks

It gets better. Hey, if you have any friends that go to your school walk with them, and eat lunch w/ them if possible. You guys can get through the first week(or so) together. Just remember, those upper-classmen arn't as mean as they seem. It is kinda scarry cause some of the guys are like huge and have mustaches! But just calm down, take a deep breath. If you are having trouble with Upper-classmen, tell your friends, i am sure they are having the same problems.
