lymph nodes
i went to the doctors today
and i have pain on my right ovary
they did an ultra sound on it last week
and nothing bad came up
but the doctor said i have a lymph node?
can someone rephrase that for me?
what exactly is that?
is it bad ?
do i need surgery?
medication ?
help, I'm scared !

Lymph nodes or glands are fleshy pea sized structures found in groups or chains throughout the body. The nodes in the neck, armpits and the groins are easily felt. -Everyone has them.
Bacterial infection such as tonsillitis, infected cuts and wounds and abscesses are the commonest causes of enlarged lymph glands.

lymph nodes are just masses of tissue that sort out bacteria...it's kinda gross to think about but its not a big deal. sometimes they get swollen, and i have one in my neck and it sucks because sometimes i get sore necks, but its nothing to worry about or get surgery for, it should go away by its self after a while, and if it doesnt it still doesnt really matter
