LM answered Friday August 31 2007, 12:53 pm: Guys aren't usually complete morons. They can act it, but many actually DO have a head on their shoulders. Sometimes they can tell when a girl is hinting that she likes him, sometimes they can't. And that's the trouble, no one knows for sure. A lot of guys (and girls) are flirtatious with the opposite sex even if they're NOT interested in them- it's just a part of their personality. The guys I know (a lot of my friends are guys) are like this & they can't really help it. So, a guy won't always take the hint & you're going to have to be more direct.
A nearly foolproof way of letting a guy know you like him? TELL HIM!! How you go about this is up to you. If you're not the closest of friends & usually talk online, it's all right to tell him on AIM. But if you talk to him face-to-face frequently, take that opportunity to tell him how you feel. No mixed signals here- he'll know exactly what you mean. Keep it short and (relatively) simple- "Jeff, I really like you. And I was wondering what you would think of us being more than friends" Don't completely rehearse what you're going to say, but think it over once & don't dwell on it. Be confident!
Now all you've got left to do is wait for his reaction. Be optomistic- you never know what could happen. Plus, if you like someone & never tell them, you'll regret it. Maybe not today, but someday down the road you will. Sometimes in life you have to take a chance & in my opinion, not telling someone how you really feel about them is one thing you will ALWAYS regret not doing.
