well , i smoked pot for a looooooooong time. i became really depressed for awhile. i swore up and down that it didnt have ANYTHING to do with smoking weed. but then i got caught up and could no longer smoke. i imediatly started feeling better. i still didnt want to believe it was the weed that caused my problem so i started smoking again and i got depressed again. i felt the same way you do. basically empty, like nothing really matters and nothing is ever going to change. try quitting for a couple months. trust me i know its hard, but weed is not physically addictive, just mentally. so you CAN do it. if you dont feel better then try seeing a physciatrist.

Wow..what a story.. well, i agree with the other person, sounds like you have low self-esteem or something or that sort and you feel like your life isn't worth anything so why not just waste it on something that can kill you. Now, usually I would say something like, you need Jesus in your life because we all try to fill our hearts with something like drugs, sex, and junk like that and it never fits, so we just continue to try other dumb things. But, in this situation I don't wanna just throw this out at you and you not take my advice. But I am going to tell you that you need to talk to someone that you can trust, if you don't feel like you have anyone close enough to talk to, then try consider talking to a counselor and they can try to help because it's their job. If they suggest therapy, then take it.. It'll help you both for now and in the long run.. I know I can't say that getting rid of pot is just going to be easy but try really hard not to think of it anymore and focus on something else that you can do that will eventually overlook wanting to smoke pot. I know this wasn't much, I really hope everything works out for you and that you get the help you need!! I'll be praying for you and hope you feel better soon!! Write me back and tell me if you get help, because I'd love to hear from you again!! 16/F * Skyla *

I think you need to seriously consider therapy. Honestly, no one on this website is probably going to give you good advice for coping with something like that and working out solutions.

I think, and trust me, I'm no doctor... that the reason you feel that nothing, is because of low self-esteem and feeling like your life doesn't matter. I dont think you honestly care enough about yourself! Dude, I know this is not what you want to hear, but you can't blame your drug problem on doctors. I think you need to go to a counselor's or maybe even rehab if it's that extreme. Dont take this the wrong way, even if the medication was too strong, the side affects wouldn't of been using drugs! You need to get involved with the world around you. So many things are happening that you are missing out on! You need to tell yourself that you only have one life to live and truly realize it, too. Drugs aren't the answer, no matter how cheesy it may seem. The feeling you are wanting to achieve is not going to come from pot, its going to make that missing feeling even worse.

Good luck to you.
