Diet I'm on a pretty strict diet & I was wondering what to do about a meal. My family is all getting together to have Pork & Saurkraut with mashed potatos. I'm not quite sure the nutrition facts of it because all recipes are different & what not. Should I eat lightly that day & pick around here & there?? Maybe a small piece of pork, a bit of saurkraut & a scoop or two of mashed potatos?? Any ideas?? I'm basically just watching my calorie intake & grams of fat. I'm not too concerned about anything else. Thanks!!

Just eat the food. It's one meal! One meal isn't going to throw off your diet. As long as you don't completely pig out you'll probably stay within your calorie and fat limits anyway. Even if you go a little over, again, it's one day, one meal. Have a good time with your family and after this one meal go back to your diet. There's no reason to be so hard on yourself. Sure you want to be healthy, but don't get so wrapped up in it that it controls your life because that's not healthy either. Good luck! :) ]
