Catlovers141 answered Saturday August 25 2007, 6:14 pm: I think it is normal, but it depends. I don't know if you wear contacts, but if you do wear them this happens when it is dark out. Your pupils get larger, and as a result you see through the little markings on the edge of your contacts. This produces the long rays of light. This can also happen if your contacts are dirty.
I also think this is normal even if you don't wear contacts, but you should see a doctor if you have any eye pain or signs of irritation, just to be on the safe side. If this is your only symptom, then you should be fine. :)
