Curling Iron needs cleaned!

I use hairspray & curling gell on my hair before i use my curling iron..and i have to, or else it doesn't work..but after a while, stuff builds up on the curling iron and it doesn't work as well..

what's the best way to get it off!?

Baby wipes works best. It's a little trick I read in a magazine. It gets rid of all the residue and doesn't damage the appliance. Give it a try!

I've always used rubbing alcohol & a cotton ball or cotton swab. Sometimes you can scrape it off before the iron gets really hot with your fingernail or something similar. Even plain water on a paper towel works, depending on what's stuck to the iron.
