whats the best way to deal with a lie? i am willing to tell the truth but the thing is it involves others who arnt guilty and will get punished for it. what do i do? i cant afford someone digging it up because it is un coverable!! what should i do??
Additional info, added Wednesday August 29 2007, 9:09 am: well ok so i lied about crap that happened..... and the punishment is not exactly from a higher authority it's just that once i tell.. wait... i have an idea i'll put an example though the truth is a thousand times worse:
hmmm... bare with me i am thinking it through as i go... ok so a group of campers with one counselor.... he's really super mean if one duz smthing they all get in trouble.... one of the kids gets in trouble and they are out in the woods, the counselor cant take him back coz its nite. first he cant take eveeeeryone back thats too dangerous but then again its a good thing to do to get the others mad at the kid as well,
second option, he cant take the kid and leave the rest, and third he can't leave the kid unpunished... it'll just kill him to give the kid another chance. he doesn't believe in mistakes.
there is one guy who ratted the kid out... and though the boy is soooo mad at him he's not the type to take revenge by sending them all back.
now assume the kid has lied about whatever he did... and the the other annoying guy is blackmailing him and eventually told the others who are now mad at him... the kid can't free himself... he can't tell coz they'll all get killed. and he can't bare this any longer because he can't continue normally as before.... what should he do??. If you could sort it all out without mentioning names, that might be the way to go. [ Elcee's advice column | Ask Elcee A Question ]
