Is there a reason why I'm crying

Question Posted Friday August 24 2007, 2:08 am

Whenever I watch a very romantic movie, when you can just see the passion the two characters have for each other, I get overwhelmed and start crying.

For example, in the movie When Harry met Sally, at the end, when he goes to that party and admits to Sally that he loves her, I had tears running down my face and I felt a slight squeeze on my heart.

I do have a crush on this guy (I think I might be in love, I've liked him for almost four years, and it seems like my love for him is growing stronger by the year). I always get so happy when I imagine him saying those things to me.

Why do you think I am crying? If it's because of the guy, do you think I'm in love? There's just this huge bundle of emotion in me right now, and sometimes when I watch or hear something it triggers that bundle to tear a little and the next thing I know tears are running down my face. I never sob though (like I do when I am sad or angry). I just need to know what's wrong with me. I was never like that.

Even if you weren't so into this guy, you probably would have the same reaction to the movies. I think the crush on the guy probably triggers it a little more because it allows you to fantasize and put yourself and him in the characters' in the movie's place.

yeah I think it's because of this guy. Or it could be what the other person said, horomones...

I think the reason why you are crying during those parts, is because you can imagine yourself in that scene with this guy. You can't get your mind off of him... but 4 years ago (you mentioned that you were never like this) you never even met this guy, so I'm guessing it's this guy who is making you feel this way.

Let him know how you feel and maybe he will feel the same way about you!

It's called being a woman.
There is nothing wrong with you. We womenfolk tend to get teary eyed now and then.
I do believe it is estrogen that causes us to get "emotional" at times.

there isnt anything wrong with. teenagers have a very high hormone level. new hormones are coming into your body and causing you to have different emotional levels. this could be related to your feelings with this guy, so you should talk to him and get to know him better. maybe you actually start a relationship with him.
