you can start by going up to some one and ask them their names and get to know eachother. then when you start learning more about eachother do want you both like.

always be confident with yourself. dont be afraid to go out and talk to other people. find a table at lunch and just ask if you can sit with them. your new so they will be interested to see what you are all about. ask questions about the school and the town. what they usually do on the weekends? where are some good hang out spots? just be friendly and make conversation with anyone you can.
