Gain weight

Question Posted Thursday August 23 2007, 3:43 pm

I'm 14, female, weighing 91 pounds, height around 5'1". I'm not overweight at all, in fact I'm a little underweight. I'd really like to gain at least a few pounds, because I'm really thin and I don't really have much of a figure.

What could I do to gain some weight all over my body? Not muscle, really, I just want to fill myself out a little bit more.

eat a lot of protein and potassium. things like eggs, cheese, milk, bananas.this will help you bulk up a bit especially if youo do dome push ups and sit ups=. i know you said you dont want muscle nessacarily but this way you will be gaining healthy weight instead of just fat. protein builds muscle so you will have more energy.

Its really difficult to control your weight (gain or lose) during your teens, especially if you want to direct where it goes (boobs, butt, etc.) Eating fattier foods may give you the result you want, but you should eat foods with nonsaturated fats because saturated fats will just send fat to very unflattering places. If you want to keep your normal diet, just increase the amount of food you're eating. However, you might have a really high metabolism, which would make it really hard to put some meat on your bones. But don't worry, your metabolism will slow down as you grow older. Everyone has a fast metabolism when they're young, but some people just don't grow out of it for a while.

Hey! I am 14 years old female, im 5"4 and I weigh 98 pounds, so I know where your coming from. My doctor actually asked me if I was eating allright becuase im underweight. (I eat like a pig, i just have a fast metabolism)
The truth is though, you really dont need to gain weight. I used to want to ALL the time, but I realized that its good to be skinny. I sorta have a waist, I do have bigger hips however, but I'm not that big uptop. I want curves, too.
If you really want to gain weight just eat more. It's not healthy, but if it's something you really want to do then dont excersise as much and eat carbs and meats and stuff.
