MLA Format

14/ going into 10th grade =]

i have to write an essay for my history class..i already wrote the essay. but the assignment was to write it in standard english essay MLA format..what's does that mean??!!

MLA format is basically what a lot of schools use. Even though it's quite common, I've learned that each school or even teacher for that matter, has their own preferences when using MLA format. It's basically how your essay is set up. If you can check with your teacher before you hand it in, that would be the best option. If not, then you should go by this website-

Like I said, not all schools have the same preferences. Most of the time the format changes a bit. You should really ask someone from your class or make sure you learn it for next time. Just try following those guidelines. Oh & you might want to check on your school's website or in their handbook or something.
