You most likely over-stretched the bladder and the pain is just cramp, which will go away. However, if you find that your urine stings and it hurts to pee, you may have something called cystitis. You will need to see a doctor so that he can give you something to make it go away. It happens to a lot of ladies if they have to hold in their urine for a long time.

your fine. when you hold in your pee for to long it stretches out your bladder. now that all that liquid is gone its cramping up because its shrinking back to its normal state.

NO Kidney pain actually shows up in your lower back. on the right or left side, depending on which kidney. So I don't think you hurt your kidney. It was your bladder that was full, and extended. YOu probably over extended it. You should be OK< but don't do that again. You could bring on a bladder infection. It is not a good idea to get in the habit of holding yor urine.
GOod luck to you dear

Waiting too long can cause cramps. It will be gone by tomorrow definitely but try taking medicine for cramps to help relieve the pain.
