ok so i want this next school year to be the best year for me. it is my sophmore year. i want to make a whole lot more friends.
but im really shy. i normally wait untill people come to me. so how can i become more friendly?
or unshy? haha lol.
im the type of girl who needs to be comfortable around you..for me to be who i am.
so any help on how to make friends?

I was that way too. I found that i didnt feel confortable around people because of the way i looked. i wasnt confident in myspel, so i kinda gave myself a little makeover (hair cut, some new clothes) and then i found myself being more sociable. Dont get me wrong. Im not saying that you have to look a certain way to get people to talk to you. Im saying that you have to be confident and comfrtable with yourself in order for other people to be too.
If thats not the case, then its all kind of on you. There isnt much advice to a question like this. You just have to find the confidence and put yourself out there. When you go to classes sit with new people, just start by making small talk, its easy at the beggining of the year cause you can say hey hows ur summer and then that give you a lot to talk about and you can be more comfortable around them. good luck:)

When you sit down in your new classes, say hi to the person next to you and ask what their name is. it might start up a conversation and it's the first day so they'll know you for the rest of the year.

Try just going up to people, and be like "hey Im (name)" if you dont know them. If you know them, but never talked to them before, go up and be like "hey I really like you (outfit or w/e)".
That wil start a convo. with anyone. It works for me! I hope I helped<3
