i want to pierce my belly button after pool season is over, but the thing is in the fall i play field hockey
so i was wondering can i play with a piercing or should i just wait till november or so when fh is over?

I would definetely wait until November! I got my belly button pierced right before volleyball season and it ended up getting infected TWICE because it got bumped so much! WAIT UNTIL NOVEMEBER! They take months to heal, mine was abour 6-7 I think. Well worth it though!

I would wait until November.

Belly button piercings take an especially long time to heal and often involve complications/infection due to their awkward position.. It's best to make sure there's no chance of it being damaged. Play hockey when it's healing and you risk it being knocked or ripped out, which could lead to a nasty infection.

No matter when you do get it pierced, make sure you go to a reputable piercing studio which uses sterile equipment and to follow the aftercare instructions properly.
