burning a cd

Question Posted Saturday August 11 2007, 4:37 pm

If you bought a CD on iTunes, could you burn them onto a CD? Or is that illegal. Plus how come say a cd has like 12 songs on it, you'd have to pay 99 cents for each song, but if you just bought the CD on itunes, its like 9.99?

1.) yes, that's totally legal. it's okay if you buy them on itunes for yourself, and then you burn a cd to like listen to in your car, or in your stereo or something. it's supposed to be illegal to buy them for yourself and then burn cd's and give them to all your friends, but everybody does that.
2.) that's to get people to buy the whole cd at a discounted price. trust me, it's a better deal. the songs themselves are worth .99, so if you bought every single song on the cd, it would be close to 12 bucks. this way, you save two dollars. it doesn't make a whole lot of difference in profit for itunes or the artist. but more people are likely to buy the whole album, and itunes is more likely to get more business, if the whole album is discounted. it's better than buying it at best buy for 14 bucks!

To burn the cd, that's totally legal. So, no worries.
As for your other question, Itunes just does that as a deal-type thing. Considering that some people mght otnly want one or two songs off the album, it's a really nice feature. But if you want the whole album, then don't buy each song individually. :]

Yes you can burn a cd, and its not illigal
First, make a playlist on itunes..Then put in a cd..Then if you have the newest itunes go to the right hand bottom corner and click the button burn disk

Well Itunes wants you to buy cds on there so they try to make it cheaper then the stores so you will buy it.. there really isnt a reason .. they just want you to buy the whole cd.

I hope i helped
