A brand that offers such a treatment is Pantene Pro V and what it is is a cream or gel that you put on damp hair and let sit and it mosturises it and helps to prevent breakage. The reason your hair is poofy or frizzy is most likely from being dry, and the weather humid, this treatment should help to calm it down some.
Since your hair is beginning to curl it is most likely due to the humitity, but since you're getting older your hair could just be changing. As your body changes and matures, or you gain or loose weight your hair will change. Try using a product that incourages curls, or even a simple gel after you shower and your hair is wet. Rub it on your hands and then flip your hair upside down, scrunch the hair with your hands. Then flip your head back and tossle your hair. Then take a towel and scrunch the hair with the towel to remove mosture.
Things to avoid:
DO NOT BLOW DRY THIS TYPE OF HAIR UNLESS YOU PLAN ON STRAIGHTENING IT!!!
Don't rub your hair dry with a towel, that causes breakage. Just pat the hair with it, or squeeze out extra mosture.
And I know all this from personal experience. We have the same hair type!
