If he dumped you for family problems, get the hell over yourself and stop being selfish.

When it comes to family, it is really hard to deal with girlfriends or boyfriends. He needs time to straighten things out with them. He is not dumping your for good but temporary, if he sees you are willing to calm done, wait for him, be there for him, understand his decision, and let him know your support him, and give him some space, he will come back to you in no time. He just needs time get things in order before he plans out his own.
