lip piercing
how long does it usually take for a lip piercing to heal ? like how long do you have to keep it in after you pierce it before you can take it out ?

Well, for me...it took...*thinks*
About 2 months to completely heal. As in I could take it out for an hour or more without it FULLY closing up. I mean, sure I had to struggle a little to get it back in, but no biggie.
It really depends on each person and how they treat it. Like me, I got it without my parents' knowledge & I had to constantly take it in and out. They found out, but I think it was worth it. Anywhos if you keep it in and rinse with salt water to make it heal faster, who knows. It may heal faster =) If you have to take it out and when you try and put the stud/retainer back in and it won't go in smoothly, don't give up. Just push as hard as you can. It might hurt a little but it will work =) If you have anymore questions, just inbox me =)

Usually it takes about 2 months to completely heal, but sometimes it takes longer or shorter than that.
Also, it depends on how well you care for it.
