One 10 second dance
You know how in the movies, the really studious girl falls for sport's hero? Well, I never thought that would be me. I was student body president, in debate, band, honours classes, ballet, tap, orchestra, drama- well, almost everything, and I was part of the "in crowd"! A few months ago (when I was still in 8th grade), I moved to a new house. The house was like only 5 minutes away from my old one, so I still went to the same school. The 1st day I came home on the bus, all the kids on there we're really surprised I was there, and they we're all like- that's so cool the prez is on our bus. That's when I met him, and he asked me where exactly in the neighbourhood I lived, and it turned out we lived 3 houses away from eachother. I thought of him only as a friend then. Months passed, and we saw eachother at the bus stop, or I saw him skateboarding outside. Now, I am also that type of girl who doesn't like any guy, and who has never gone with one (I have been asked, but I always said "no!") The 8th pool party came, (I don't swim- so I was hanging with a few others who weren't) He came over, and started talking to a friend of mine. I passed him my yearbook. All he wrote was (U were a great prez) Grad came, and I did my speech. Then, the Grad dance came. All my friends we're trying to make me dance (because I never danced to anything cept ballet & tap) Soon, a slow song came up- my friends started dancing with the guys. I was just about to escape to a table when we bumped into eachother. He asked me if I was going to dance, and I explained to him that I couldn't. He said "I'll dance with you", before I could answer he had his hand around my waist, and we we're dancing. All of sudden, I don't know what came over me. I felt as if it was only me & him. Then, a friend of mine came over and said Aww!, and he said "Hey, you were busy." I "woke" up, and said "you 2 should dance before running away. I've seen him since then at the movies, but we didn't talk or even say hi. And when I saw him the next time, before he could say more than hi, I ran away again. I really like him, and now I'm going to see him again once school starts. I don't know if he likes me or not.

I think that this guy probably does like you, he's just scared to say anything, just like you.
Obviously, if he asked you to dance with him he was probably at least beginning to like you. Also, next time you see him make sure you talk to him, to let him know you haven't forgotten about him and everything. I think this whole thing is probably just that the two of you are embarassed to talk to each other about it, because you're scared of what the other will think. Sometimes, you just have to do things to get what you want.
