getting guys to notice me

Well, I transferred to a new school at the beginning of eighth grade, and I can't believe how fast time flew, because now I'm going into ninth grade. I wear cute clothes, I always get compliments on them from my friends and stuff. Recently I went shopping and got really cute jean bermudas from Hollister, and 2 new polos from Aeropostale, a new hoodie and khaki shorts from Aero as well. I had some mild acne, but now it's calming down since I don't pick at them anymore. (lol). I've been told that I'm pretty (by friends), and cute (by like two guys), but that's about it. I'm pretty tall 5'8" and I have a nice figure (flat stomach, nice shoulders, long legs, nice butt), and I've seen a few guys look at me at school, but not as much as they could if thats the way to put it? I recently got side bangs and when I straightened my hair, they looked absolutely adorable. I also want to gain some confidence, because me and my mom were talking about guys and she's like 'Well, I know that I've been keeping you back from dating and going out and stuff, but don't be afraid to look around and notice guys. I notice that you walk fast when I drop you off at school and don't like look around you.' I also had a bad nail biting problem, but I'm happy to say that I've quit! :]

I wear average makeup, foundation, blush, mascara, and when I wear my hazel contacts, I've been told that they look pretty on me. :]

You are pretty, but looks aren't everything.
As you said, confidence is something you need. Though several people have made fun of me for this method, I think if you believe in it it works:
Get a pen and some paper and sit in front of a mirror. Write down everything you like about yourself physically and mentally. Everyday or just when you need a boost of confidence, read over the list.
Furthermore, don't be afarid to show your personality. I mentioned it before: looks won't get you everything. A guy likes a girl who will talk to them too. Don't forget to be yourself! Guys love a girl who's genuine.

okay so you are absolutly adorable.. its maybe just your auto-steam:) and some guys are shy in telling agirl that kinda stuff.. others just dont know how to make a move... so try to get along w guys! and latter they will gain confidece... and you might ever win another best frien:P.. dont try to be TOO flirty.. becouse you dont know if he really likes you....and hey am going to 9th grade too:P so we have something in common

Guys like girls who are confident.
My advice to you is to act confident but not full of yourself. Talk to guy that you think are cute don't be shy guys like girls that are like that. As long as you stay confident and social guys will notice you!
