Dandruff

Question Posted Friday August 3 2007, 7:01 pm

(Sorry if this is the wrong category) How can you get rid of dandruff (possibly without using head and shoulders shampoo) and how can you prevent yourself from getting dandruff? Also, whenever I don't wash my hair the same amount of days as my sis, my hair is greasy and smelly, but my sis's hair doesn't smell that much, only if you smell her hair upclose. Why is this? Is there anything I can do about this? (It's really annoying, cause she always complains about how my hair smells and she's only like 2 ft+ away from me :|)

To prevent dandruff there is alot of things you can do. There are scalp treatments that isn't head and shoulders that work. (Its like a shampoo). Another thing alot of people dont do that prevents it is scratching there scalp in the shower with any shampoo and conditioner. Also repeating helps. Now for your hair being greasy and smelly faster then your sisters could be from a lot of things. If your are more active then your sister that could be some of it. Also hair texture and color can have an affect. If you hair is thin and straight it gets greasier faster. If you have thick curly hair, you can go up to 3 days without washing and be good. Blonde hair also doesn't show greasyness as much as brown hair. To get rid of hair smell you can use a different shampoo, perfume, hairspray, moose, gel, etc. hope i helped hun
