Generally you rush which means go around to different sororities or fraternities. You try to meet people and find one you like the people in. Then they decide if you are worthy of receiving a bid which means you are a pledge. You go through several weeks of showing your loyalty and then are finally initiated.
Some girls like sororities and some guys like fraternities. Only you will know if it's right for you.
