never thought i'd be asking this question but i just got my period today and saterday i'm leaving for splash lagoon water park and i'm going to geauga lake! i've never put in a tampon and i need some advice on how to.. does it hurt? and you can go swimming in them right? a visual or something would help a lot!

omg sweetheart you should definitely try tampons. they are the best invention in the world.
no, the only times they hurt are the first one or two times. after that, you get used to them.

you should put it in farther than you think because if you feel it inside of you or while you walk, you didn't insert it far enough.
the box instructions don't help at all.

ok no it shouldnt hurt usually the box the tampons they came in show you how. Yes you can go swimming in with them but make sure that you change it at least 4 to 8 hours!!! important! and to insert them you can either stand up with one leg on the toilet or stand. the insator the plastic outside what you do is just shove it up your vagina slowly until your close to you thumb then push the otha end in if a lil bit of the tampon is out then you did it wrong! what you really should do is ask your mom how to do it and if not an older sister or a frined ant any one its not that embarrasing really.! hope i helped good luck!
