ve been on a few roller coasters in my life, and other rides too like the tornado ,the swings all kinds of thing.. mostly when i was little. Everytime i went on any ride i HATED it. so i havent really been on anything since then and now im 16. Ive still been terrified and i couldnt remember why i was, so just recently my friends convinced me to go on the fribeee.. this was my first time on it. I went on it and i remembered the feelings i get and why ihate it.. It really upsets me because if i could have one wish right now it would be to love rollercoasters.. people look like they have so much fun and i want to be apart of that fun. When i go on them i get those butterflys but i love butterfly feelings dont get me wrong but i get them so much that i cant take it.. and then my legs start to shake uncontrollably and i feel stiff.. and mostly i just feel like i completely lost control of myself.. usually when im on i wish i could stop the ride.ive even tried screaming but nothing.. HELP
They may feel comfortable with certain coasters or rides that you don't because of having been on them so many times in the past and forgetting any negative experiences.
What you should do at any amusement park you are going to is to look at the park map. On it all the rides ought to be listed (unless this is a fair) with information on how tough the ride is or not.
When it comes to coasters you want to get on the wooden track ones first before doing others. Why? This helps you get used to the speed and the bumps and the knocks.
Then try the wooden log coaster that most parks have where it goes up and splashes down hard into water. Then try steel coasters with only 2 loops as you can then build up to 6 loops and scarier stuff for you.
Definitely check out a park map or even website for the amusement park you are going and use it's rating system from 1-5 usually of how tough a ride it is and actually watch people on it to see what it does.
As far as butterflys, a little bit of fear that's expected but not the type you describe. Tell you what, if you tell me what amusement park you go to I can then bring up the web site and see what rides (as I'm a junkie) might be good for those scared of certain things to do first before moving up to bigger things. mae answered Monday July 30 2007, 7:41 pm: OMG!..My cousin has the exact same problem....all we tell her is to enjoy it..because when your all closeing your eyes and not enjoying it....the rest of the people are and having a great time and will make sure they go on it again....closeing your eyes can make you more afraid and make you start to feel sick...so you NEED to throw your hands up in the air and smile...and enjoy it!..Because you will only live once....so you do need a little fear in your life...SO RIDE A ROLLER COASTER!
