I'm a little young to be thinking about college, but I am anyways.
I want to be a veterinarian.
which colleges would be best for majoring in animal husbandry (which is what you have to take to become a vet)
sugarplum07 answered Saturday July 28 2007, 1:48 pm: Well those that want a degree in the area of veterinary medicine major in something like biology or chemistry. In order to become a vet, you need a bachelor's degree (which takes four years) in your decided major and then four more years of vet school.
There are lots of good veterinary programs. You did not say where you were from, but here are some really good vet schools:
Michigan State University
Fort Valley State University (north carolina)
Newberry College (south carolina)
Mississippi State University
University of Findlay (Ohio)
You have a lot of options. While you're in high school, take lots of science and math and volunteer at your local vet office. The experience will land you a spot in a good college. Veterinary schools are VERY hard to get into, so you have to really work hard and keep your grades up. [ sugarplum07's advice column | Ask sugarplum07 A Question ]
