ego?
theres this boy that i like and have been best friends with for over 4 years and i love everything about him except he always seems to try and get compliments out of me or something. he'll be all like "oh, i'm so ugly" when he knows he isnt and he knows i dont think he is either. he'll also try to say that hes pathetic when he has no reason to and tons of other things. because i like him, i guess i always respond with anything to try and make him feel better. am i feeding his ego? why does he do this?

He just needs reassurance. Some people are self conscious even though they may be pretty, among other things. They just want to hear that they look good so they will feel better. As far as you feeding his ego, yes you are, but its in a good way.

ANother guy with am ego, huh? My boyfriend is the exact same way! i dumped him thursday BTW!i told him to go talk to his stupid little cat and never talk to me again. ( IM BRITISH!) Honey, tell him that he is ugly and should get a mirror okay. my thousands of boyfriends love that junk. so what ever floats your boat right? w/e i need to go feed my cats!!! you have it down! Guys will do that! Especially if he knows you like him. He will ask you those questions to see what you will say. If he says"i am so ugly", be like "Yeah you are huh?" then say kidding its playful! <aha. Yes, you are sorta feeding his ego.
