when you do the compare people thing, is it totally anonymous as long as you check the box that says not to notify them? does it say anything about it?

and also, can you somehow see what you were voted for?

Yes, it is anonymous if you un-check the box that notifies your friends. It will not notify them at all after you do this. They can only see how random, anonymous users voted by clicking "Rankings" toward the bottom of the Compare People Box. You can also add a box to your profile that shows how you are ranked to all your friends.
