I have a Windows XP computer and right now it seems slower, websites load slower, slow searching, etc. Anyone know what the problem is? Is the problem(s) from downloading/having many programs/games, putting it in hibernation mode instead of turning it off, and/or using it a lot? If it's one or more than any of these problems or one you might possibly know how can I fix it? I'm thinking of giving it a another system recovery which to me helps fix my computer up a bit but I just wanna know another way without having to do it that way.
canadiancofee answered Monday July 23 2007, 7:57 pm: Your computer might be slower because you're using up to much RAM. The programs you downloaded from the internet take up ram even though you aren't using them. For instance, on my computer AIM takes 8 mbs, MSN takes 7 mbs, and iTunes take 6 mbs on my computer even though it's not even turned on.
The best thing to do is unistall all the programs you don't need on your computer. And when you're using the internet, turn off all the programs you dont need.
