it's actually pretty easy. you'll get
the hang of it. tips: #1 don't be nervous!
when you're nervous, your muscles tense
up and it's almost impossible to put
the tampon in. #2 tampons don't go straight
in. it goes in on a slant, so when you
go to put it in put it up towards the left
side of your vagina. hope this helps

You should be able to find a visual of the internet like the others have listed below. My advice is buying a box of tampons, and in the box they have a paper of how to insert, along with a picture.
