cold sore/fever blister

i have a coldsore or a fever blister on my lip & its very infected. i've been putting blistex on it but it doesnt seem to help the pain. the sore is now like almost turing scabby but it's yellow. any home remedies to help the pain & the sore? thanks in advice! :)

i used to get those a lot, unfortunatley it's not going to go away over night. but putting ice in a plastic bag and pressing on it help the swelling and dries it up a little faster. but i use abreva, it's kind of expensive but it works really well. you can get it at wal mart or wallgreen's, almost anywhere.
but if you get cold sores/fever blisters a lot, you should go to the dermatologist. they can prescribe you a pill for them. they work wonders i'm telling ya!
