Okay, so my friend is 5' 3" and weighs 96lbs. I know that it's underweight and she looks pretty malnutritioned right now...if that's even a word?
Anywhos, she's a vegetarian and she doesn't eat 3 square meals a day from what I see. She'll eat something. It'll usually be something like a tomato for lunch or she'll just fill herself up with unhealthy foods like brownies or cookies. She's not anorexic at all, I can promise you that. Or bulimic for that matter. She doesn't have an eating disorder if that's what you're thinking. Well, anywhos, she was 98lbs in the beginning of the year and she was eating normally but she lost 2lbs and went down to 96lbs and she keeps on dropping weight VERY gradually. She does ballet and she babysits three times a week. And she goes to rock concerts...but other than that, she's pretty much sedative. There's not much stress going on for her, from what I see and it's summer time. Anyways, her mom took her to a nutritionist not too long ago but she wouldn't tell me what went on. She just told me the guy asked her lots of questions. I was wondering why she would be losing weight and what I could do to help her or something like that. Um, she's on anti depressants if that's help at all...and oh yeah. My mom banned me from her so my only means of communication is either through the computer or sneaking out to meet her Saturday in the mornings =X
Thanks very much! Oh yeah. She turned 16 not too long ago =)
Nutritionists know far more than I do about foods and the metabolic processes caused by them, so I am sure that she's getting the help she needs assuming there was a problem to begin with. [ MikeCFT's advice column | Ask MikeCFT A Question ]
