picture too big

when i try to put a picture of myself on my profile in the profile settings it says You tried to upload a picture, but it was greater than 15K in filesize so it wasn't uploaded. what does this mean and what should i do to make it smaller???

go to tinypic.com
the go to browse and pick your picture and click upload. when it uploads, copy the 'Direct Link for Layouts' code. then paste it in the URL of a picture of you in profile settings.

it should work.

Upload it to [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) <imageshack.us>, then give Advicenators the image URL(bottom text after uploading in imageshack). Then you can upload images up to 1.5MB. That's 1537.5KB!

It means that if you upload the picture it will look huge and stretch out your page and everything. What I do with my pictures is I go onto paint, click Image on the top, then click Stretch/ Skew then type in numbers to make it smaller.
