Getting over him is tough..

Question Posted Wednesday July 18 2007, 8:33 pm

Hey everyone,

I've come to the realization that I should probably just get over my guy friend that I like a lot. I always thought that maybe him and his girlfriend would end, but its up to their 6th month together, and when he's on the phone with her thats the only thing he talks about. I text him a lot, and we always had been good friends since 3 years ago but since he has been going out with his girlfriend we've kinda slipped. I'd just like to know what I can do to get him out of my head, to stop looking at his myspace and texting him and basicially just torturing myself!

Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks so much <3

P.S We are both 14. Going into 9th grade.

Maybe hanging out with some other guy friends [or meeting new guy friends] would help. you just have to discipline your mind; if you start thinking about him, quickly think about something else like what you want to do for that day or how fun it would be to see Dane Cook live. you know? Or maybe think about his flaws instead of his positives. It will get you thinking, "hm hes not as great as i thought :D"

i dont mean to get your hopes up because this happened to me by luck but i was in your situation and the guy and his girlfriend broke up their 7th month. just start becoming closer to him as a friend and then if he does break up then you can become his shoulder to lean on and then work from there. but that doesn't always happen but it's worth a shot.

to get over someone you've had your eye on for a long time is hard and its cool that your taking the sain aprouch and not trying to split them up (or kill her), you need to see him as one of your good friends instead of your long time crush. if you can do that then eventually thats all you'll see him as but untill you can fully recover i wouldnt go to his myspace or anything like that untill you have a grip on your feelings so your not killing yourself in his pressence.

I don't mean to be unhelpful in any way!
But I don't think it's going to be that easy getting him outta your head :/
You probably already know it's going to be hard to forget about him NOW,considering how he's dating someone..and when they're not dating..your going to want to! So it's going to be hard.
Lol hope I helped you somehow or another ^_^
