i just got mine last month, and i havent had any problems with it at all. just clean it like they tell you to, and as long as your body doesnt reject the jewelry [which isnt toooo common, and if youve had other peircings and they were ok then you should be fine], then yours shouldnt get infected. just make sure you go to a safe, sterile place, take care of it, and dont touch it with dirty grubby hands. good luck! itll hurt a little [cleaning hurts as well] but i love mine =]

Industrial Piercings are difficult to take care of due to the fact that they are on opposite ends of the ear. It is VERY likely to get infected if you do not do the salt water soak and/or wash it.
