uisforukelele answered Monday July 16 2007, 9:30 pm: you can for a day or two, but you can stick them in the dishwasher and then you're good to go for another day or two. i had a friend who reused the same water bottle for weeks without knowing this, and mold started to grow in it. gross! but if you put it in the dishwasher, then it is just like a regular cup or something. yes, water bottles should not be continually reused because bacteria grow in the water bottle because, everyone does it, when you take a sip of water, some of it touches your tongue and goes back into the bottle.
