cameras

Question Posted Monday July 16 2007, 7:44 pm

i want to buy a new camera. and here are some things im looking for. (if it doesnt really make sense, just bear with me...:])
-i want to be able to take videos and pictures
-i want to be able to set it to take like a black and white photo, or in sepia, or other cool effects
-cheaper than $150 (even less would be fabulous ;])
-i dont want to have to buy a rediculous crazy camera charger, i would like it to use like regular batteries (like my old camera, but im not sure if thats possible)

if you could find a camera, and send me to a link where i could buy one, it would be much appreciated.
thanks =]

Hey, I have this camera
[[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)]
and I love it. It's durable, at least for a camera. I dropped it once [my parents don't know] and it survived :D

It takes pictures in color, B&W, and Sepia. It's got a large screen, a nice and pretty much standard feature now. Also, since it's Kodak, you can do "Perfect Touch" processing right from the camera, you don't even need a computer. This is the reason I now adore it so. You can take a picture at dusk, or inside. You know how those pictures come out darker than it actually is in the room? Well, it fixes that and makes the picture so much better-looking. The only complaint I have is that there's a joystick-style thing instead of regualr up,down, left, right arrows. But you get used to that in about thirty seconds.

If you don't want a Kodak, Nikon also makes good cameras. I've had four, so I know :D Look for a low price, high-megapixel camera and you're all set.

Hey. I am going to tell you about my wonderful camera I got for this past Christmas.

It does everything you want:
-Takes pictures
-Takes videos
-Has many different picture settings
-I have rechargeable batteries.. they were kind of on the pricey side, but they are definitely worth it.. you don't have to go out and buy new batteries every time they die.
-The only problem is.. it is about $100 over your price range. Unfortunately.. you won't get too great of quality for under $150. But.. at the bottom of the page I give below- it has a certain website where it looks like you can find it at $119.99. That would probably be your best bet.

Here is a review of it I found:[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

This camera has 5.0 megapixels, 4X Optical Zoom [You want optical zoom, not digital zoom- because digital screws up the pixels as you zoom and the picture looks really crappy], it has 18 different shooting modes, and if you have a larger memory card [I have 2GB] you can hold a lot of pictures/videos.

Now for my own review..
I love this camera a lot and it is a great investment. I take tons of pictures and videos.. and it is perfect for me. The picture quality is the best I've seen in many different digital cameras. My brother has one, and the pictures always come out having odd white spots on them. This camera doesn't do that, ever. I think you will love it.
