iPods. Ohhhh gosh. I don't know what to do! I've had my iPod Video for the past 1 and a half. And it has been driving me NUTS after like 7 months. It has been running out of battery the day that I charge it. It sometimes froze, and un-froze only like 2 days after. I never dropped it or anything. And now.....the battery runs for like less than 4 hours, after one full charge. I am so serious...And the video part. It wastes my battery RIGHT AWAY! It has a memory of 30 GB and I only used 5 GB!
Would it be an iditotic thing to do...to buy a new iPod? Can anyone give me suggestions of a better mp3 player?
Thanks =]

Ok, I have two solutions.
1. You can contact Apple and send in your Ipod to them, and if it is still under warranty they will replace the battery for free. If it isn't under warranty, they might charge you to replace it.
2. Buy a better MP3 player, which there are many which are way better, and less expensive.
-This one is way better, but about $40 more expensive. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
-Creative Labs makes good MP3 players [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
-You can look for whatever fits your preference but those were a just a couple better ones. Newegg.com is a wonderful website for all your electronic needs. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) ]
I have the first generation Ipod Video and mine works perfectly fine. The problem is you probably charged it too much so it won't hold a charge very well. All electronics are like that. ]
I personally have a 30GB Video iPod just like you. I've only had mine for less than a year, and mine still runs fine. But I'm assuming that yours is just getting old. Maybe you've just worn it out and listened to it so much that it isn't running that well anymore. Plus.. I've heard of many people who watch videos on their iPod just like theirs and and the battery runs out really quick after watching it.
Or maybe its not that your iPod is old.. just that it has a less battery life than the smaller iPod.
If you really want to spend the money- then I would say that it wouldn't be an idiotic thing to buy a new iPod. The smaller ones, I've heard, have a longer battery life.. like 24 hours or something.

The best thing that I could suggest to un-freeze your iPod is to connect it to your computer; that should do the trick.
As for the battery problems, I would contact Apple iPod Support by going here: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
They should be able to tell you whether or not your warranty will cover it, or if it would be of more help just to buy a new iPod.
