Question Posted Sunday July 15 2007, 10:31 pm

I asked a question about my eating habits and someone responded, but never answered my question. Here was the question:

What are you supposed to eat when you're hungry?? I usually eat 3 meals, but they most likely are light. Lately they haven't been because there has been parties, but I'm going back to my diet tomorrow. If my dinner is at 4 or 5, by 9 pm I'm hungry. Do I hold myself off until breakfast or eat something small?? I thought it might be a bad idea to wait for breakfast because it would've been 12+ hours without eating. I usually eat grahm crackers when I feel hungry. Is that okay or should I be eating something else?? I rather not eat fruit at night because I have that during the day sometimes. Thanks!!

truth be told you're going about this whole small portioned dieting thing completely wrong...if you really want to see results eat 5 smaller portioned meals a day...anything you want...it helps keep your appetite down and will help even more with weight loss...doing that instead of 3 smaller portioned meals a day is not only healthier but it will actually help you see results faster..I do it and I don't find myself hungry all the time...just make sure you space out your meals by 4 or 5 hours

*EDIT*
not exactly sure how I got a 2...I lost 25 lbs in a month and a half by doing it that way...celebrities even do it that way...its healthier...I'm sorry that your more into starving yourself for 12 hours or better...starvation has been proved to cause bloating and make you look fatter...but hey...it's not my life...but don't ask for advice if you can't take it

I left her an inbox with why the rating was given and I reasked the question, but I thought she was being immature about it and a bit rude. Should I just let this go or is there a reason to file an abuse report?

Thanks!

Its ok to file an abuse report. I think you asked a legitimate question and she had no need to make it sound as if you are "starving" yourself.

She does have a point about eating more smaller meals. More like grazing than eating really.
They claim it keeps your metabolism going.

I personally gain weight when I don't eat.
I have a lot of years to take off now!
I went on Nuti System years ago and just couldn't
believe the food I had to eat. But, I lost weight.
Honestly, It seemed like I was eating constantly.

Anyway, some things you can eat that won't hurt you any.....

Salad. Eat salad with your lunch and dinner. If you get hungry later...eat salad. 1T
of whatever dressing you like.

Grapes. If you want a great cold type snack, freeze some. They are good that way.

Yogurt, non-fat. They have such a good variety
of flavors anymore! I could live on yogurt.

Eat what you want but cut down on the fats.
Eat a real small hamburger, a big salad, and a
ton of rice since it doesn't have much fat.

Graham crackers won't hurt you either. Dip them in yogurt!

Not much but a few tips for you. :)
