If they did not respond to the flyer the first time, they will not respond to the flyer the second time. Unless of course they are lodging a harrassment complaint about you to your parents. ;) I really do not see why you would insist on pursuing that household any longer.

Also, I would like to take this opportunity to severly discourage you from leaving any item of any sort in any mailbox anywhere. It is illegal to tamper with a mailbox that is not yours, if you do not work for the Government. Unless you are an official mail carrier, you are committing a federal offense the second your hand reaches inside of that box. Because technically, the mailbox does not belong to the property it sits on. It belongs to the United States Postal Service. Disobeying this law could lead to fines, probation, and even jail time. They do not take that issue lightly, especially these days with all of the terrorism concerns.

Have a look at this passage. It is a short quote from [Link](Mouse over link to see full location).

"Existing residential mailbox laws state that only authorized letter carriers may insert mail into a residential mailbox. A penalty will be imposed for anyone who is not a letter carrier and is inserting mail in the residential mailbox. It is a federal offense for tampering with the mail and a fine or possibly jail time can be the punishment for the offense. Generally, resident mailboxes are for mail use only."

are you sure they need a baby sitter? the reason why they didnt respond could have been that they didnt need a babysitter. also, do you personally know the family? because some families dont like having people they dont know or people they dont know too well watching their kids. put a flyer up on a telephone pole around your neighborhood and see if anyone responds, becuase that family may not need a baby sitter, but other families near you may need one.

good luck!
