boyfriend problems.

Question Posted Friday July 6 2007, 11:36 am

Hey katie, this is actually a good friend of yours :). I'm just kind of confused on a few things and I'd like your help..this might be kinda long =/. Well, me and this boy are kind of together, basically dating just not official yet, if you get what I'm saying. I've already done stuff with him and I like him, and I'm pretty sure he likes me a lot too. The only problem is I miss my ex more than anything. I'm still pretty much in love with him and I dont want to think about him anymore. I mean, I like this boy, but I love my ex boyfriend. If that even makes any sense to you? And I feel like I'm cheating on this new boy that I'm 'with' because he thinks that I only like him. In fact, everyone thinks that I only like him. No one really knows that I miss my ex, not even my ex himself. He actually has a new girlfriend now and we're finally friends again, it's a long story though and I'm kind of just rambleing haha. I just dont know what to do. Should I keep this guy I'm with or should I stop while I'm still ahead to avoid hurting him? Please help<3.

You weren't rambling, its fine. I understand your problem don't worry, I know what your talking about =). Well it sucks that your still so into your ex but when your around your new guy do you think about your ex alot? Sometimes you can be with your new guy and then get home or whatever and have time to think to yourself and then you'll be like, "wow i haven't thought of my ex all day" or something like that, and it will amaze you. If you do that, then I guess thats good because your new guy helps take your mind off your old boyfriend. And yeah I guess you can feel guilty for loving someone when your almost with someone else, but you know what, only you know so don't let people find out or give you crap about it because thats just more sh*t to deal wtih. And your not even going out for sure yet either. But since your ex has a girlfriend, ask yourself if you really have another chance? Im so sorry I absoulty hate facing reality like that and i feel horrible making you think that because I know how much it hurts thinking you can never be together again. But do you think you have another chance wth your ex? If you dont, then I would just try to stay wtih your current guy and hopefully forget about your ex over time. Maybe if your friends again with your ex he can like you again and you might be together? Im not sure, anything can happen. Sorry this is kind of confusing what im saying. I think this is a time consuming thing, my best advice is to see how you feel around your new guy. If it feels good, right, it makes you happy then try and stick with him. It's up to you. Yeah you don't want to hurt him but you've got to find something out right? So when the time comes for him to get hurt just be easy on him. SOrry for the confusion, hope this helped.. if not ask again and i'll try to be more clear.

-Katie
