If you looking for a great education, and you are artisticly inclined, than I recommend the Interlochen Arts Academy. It is staioned in the north western part of Michigan's lower peninsula. Not exactly the closest thing to NYC, but it is the best one in the nation!

i live in new york and i actually looked at millbrook its down by nyc

you should google "new york boarding schools".
but i can name a few good ones- st. margaret's, stuart hall, and there are a lot more.
it really depends on what you're looking for. (coed/single sex/religion,etc.)
