when your picking a plan for your sidekick 3 where itr says that you have like 500 whenever minutes are those whenever minutes also counted for when your online or i-ming your friends? if this doesnt make sense then tell mwe and ill clarify

No, the 500 minutes are used only when you talk on the phone, when someone calls you, or if you call someone. Everytime you receive an I.M. or send and I.M. it is 5 or10 cents, same as text messaging. I'm not sure how much it is to use the internet.
T-Mobile has a feature where you pay 20 dollars for Unlimited AIM, Internet, Texting, and Emailing. This is well worth it.
I have the sidekick 3, and I'm constantly on it, so the 20 dollar thing is well worth it!
And once you have the phone, you don't actually talk on the phone a lot, I used 1000 less minutes then what I normally used when I had a regular phone. Since I was always online.

Those are different fees.
Like everytime you IM someone you will be charged 5 cents.
And being online doesn't charge you, only if you IM people.
