very confused
Sorry this is long!! I am 14/f and I am going into high school. I like this one boy that I went to grade school with. We were at this party and we wre playing truth or dare and I dared him to tell who he likes. He looked at me and was like i like someone who is sitting right in this circle. I was thinking omg i think its me cause when he was saying it he was looking directly at me and was smiling. Then i said who is it he said um its tara. Ouch did that hurt! but my friend says she thinks that he is lying but i dunno i felt sometimes that he liked me. he told me he i am the only one he can talk to about anything and he trusts me. But the problem is we are really good friends now i am stuck in "just friends" and i would never want to ruin our great friendship. what should i do?

hey, well i understand how you would not want to ruin your friendship with him, but then again there goes that word friendship. the word that you just said that you dont want to be stuck at. you need to tell him that you like him. yes, its a bold and confident move and you might not be bold or confident, but it needs to be done. trust me, if you dont do it youll just be stuck wondering what if i did and what could have happened if i did, and i know that you wouldnt want that. sometimes guys are super shy and dont want you to know that they like you, thats why you can tell him that you like him first because then if he likes you, he wont be afraid to say so because there is no rejection involved. believe it or not, guys are totally afraid of rejection. its actually one of there worst fears and thats what usually stops what could have been a good reliatonship, because the guy is too afraid to ask the girl out and the girl doesnt make the first move. dont let that happen to you. guys also love confident girls, so be confident! oh yes, also if he doesnt end up liking you after you confess to liking him, dont worry. it might be akward at first, but let him know that your not going to let it ruin the friendship that you two have or bring you down. let him know that your perfectly fine with it, even if your not. good luck. =]
