Braces
I have to get braces in 7 days. I just got my spacers in today. How exactly are braces put on, what are the parts to braces, and what colors look good together. Which colors make your teeth seem whiter, I was thinking about getting dark pink and light blue or dark pink and light pink. Which would you choose?

Well the people below me pretty much covered the parts and everything, but in addition:
They don't hurt getting put on, but you will be soar for a few weeks afterwards. Take two advil before you go in and it will help the pain afterward.
Don't get light pink and dark pink together, because after a while, the dark pink will fade and it will just look gross.
Light blue is better, but just generally, I would stay away from light colors because they turn different colors after a while and start looking nasty.
stick to dark colors if you can. Like, hot pink and teal. Those look good together. Or dark blue and dark pink. Oh or purple and pink, purlple and teal, you catch my drift?

ive had braces for two and a half years
braces are made up of two parts, bracket and wire
the brackets are glued on to your teeth, one per tooth, but they might start you out with like four in the front on the top or something
then theres a wire that they wrap around each individual bracket, and a wire that they weave through all the brackets
the colors come from little rubber bands that they loop around your brackets
since the brackets are so small i can tell you that theres not really a color thats going to make your teeth look that particularly whiter
and youre probably going to get bored with the colors after a while anyway so just have fun with it
i would say choose some cute colors like purple or blue or anything you like
i would stay away from
black (becase do you really want to look like you have black on your teeth?)
yellow (looks like plaque from a distance)
and red (looks like bleeding gums)
anyway good luck and always remember to brush!

hey i have braces. ok well they use this glue stuff and it tastes bad. but they let you rinse out your mouth. well its different for everyone but the spacers are meant to make room for the molar brace. its a metal thing that gets put in the back of your mouth that secures the brackets. brackets are the little metal things on each tooth. then they use a metal wire to hook them all together. then you get the little colored rubber bands to hold the wire in place. get the dark and light pink. those colors look cool and will make ur teeth seem whiter. also i wouldnt worry too much about that because they whiten your teeth a bit before putting on the braces. oh and take some pain medication after you get them on so your mouth isnt sore =]

I would choose black.
Because those make your teeth look really white, because of the contrast color. Like all african americans look like they have really white teeth.
Braces are sort of glued on.
