why when a hot song comes out and it makes a lot of money and becomes really popular they have to make a remix of it? i know some of the remixes turn out to be bigger then the original song but it seems that lately every popular song has its own remix!why?
hotpotato answered Monday July 2 2007, 5:20 pm: Urban Dictionary has a good definition of a remix:
To remix is to recombine an audio tracks to produce a new or modified audio recording. Remixing is mostly done in the rap and hip-hop category. There are 3 different ways to remix. One way is to just change the background beat, another way is to feature several new people in the song (with or without new vocals), and the last way is to take out and add in new vocals of the original song. All three methods may be used all at once.
I think sometimes remixes sound better than the original song. And yes, people can make more money off of the song because they take an already popular song and change it up a little so that people will still buy it because they probably love the song so much they'll listen to a new version of it so they won't get sick of the original.
