Hey! Well I don't think that this question is in the right category but it was the closest fit :].
So this summer my family and I are staying at Richmond, VA for a coupld of days or so. Virginia isn't completely unfamiliar to me since I live in MD. I was just waondering what is there to do in Richmond so that we could have a good time? I really want to go to the Short Pump Town Center because it looks really pretty and it had A LOT of stores. Is that a good mall? Just fun activities to do and places to eat and other funn stuff (i.e. beaches, theaters for plays and musicals, etc) will be greatly appreciated. Thanks <33.
There's this place called Maymont, and it's GORGEOUS and it's free, and it's like this long nature walk thing w/ animals and stuff (sounds retarded but it's not).
The main professional theater company here is called Theater IV, and they have another section called Barksdale. There is a production of High School Musical w/ teens in it (i have several friends in it) during these dates: July 20 through August 5, 2007. So if you'll be here during that time you should see it! There is also something called Dogwood Dell, and they have free plays and musicals that everyone can attend. Here's the schedule: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
(if you go there be sure to bring liek lawn chairs, bug spray, and possibly food, b/c it's an open-air theater)
You should visit Carytown (it's in the actual city of richmond), it's this really cool place with all these interesting shops and restaurants. And there's a movie theater called the Byrd theater there and u can see movies there for like $1. The bakery there is called Jean-Jacques Bakery and it's AMAZING. you have to go there.
There's an ice cream place called "Ray's Italian Ice" and their food there isn't overpriced and it's reallyreallyreallyreally good.
If the weather is bad then you should go to this indoor mall called Regency Square.
