I've had my period since I was 12 and ever since I've had it it's been regular. The last week of the month like clockwork. I've never been irregular before, but recently I lost some weight. About 20 lbs and now, it's no longer regular. It comes once a month, but at differnt times. For example it might come on the 14th of march and the 1st of may as opposed to comming on the last week of each month. What could be causing this?! Does it have anything to do with losing weight?

When you lose weight, your body
needs to conserve energy.
Your period uses a lot of energy,
so therefore, your body needs to conserve it first.
Then your period comes when it's ready to use it.
It should fall back into a regular pattern after a little while.
I hope this made snese & helped you out.

Great changes to you body will affect your period.
Are you doing a lot of exercise [cause for losing weight] or have you just grown taller?
It's probably because you lost weight so don't fret. If it doesn't get regular soon, you should go ask your doctor if she or he can get you on BC pills to make it regular again [ ductape_n_roses's advice column | Ask ductape_n_roses A Question ]
